Emily’s story
Hi! I’m Emily Seibert! I've been dancing since I was 9 years old, and dance for me, has always been a point of physical fitness, building relationships and a place of freedom. When I was 15, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I dealt with the initial relapse for about four months. I altered my diet and began seeing a chiropractor and no longer experienced any MS issues. Then last April - my body was hit pretty hard. I began to experience lack of muscle control and dexterity, in addition to some double vision. I discovered how God is truly glorified through my human weaknesses - there has been nothing more humbling for me, than to go up on a stage last September, knowing that I'm physically weak, but choosing to dance anyway and allowing the dancers within Refuge to support me.
